I have been honored and humbled by the amazing people that have worked so tirelessly for this campaign over the past year. I want to say two things right away: Thank you, and we are not done. I will continue to fight every day for the people of this district and we will hold Rep. Reichert accountable for the choices he makes over the next two years. We are ready to continue the process of building the 8th District, and ready to run and win in 2016.
While I was privileged to receive such strong support from our union allies and from the Washington State Democrats, it was the volunteers who made this an incredible experience and gave us such a strong result. Over the course of the past 12 months, we have been able to knock on thousands of doors, make hundreds of thousands of phone calls and have spoken at events across this great State. When we spoke with people directly, our message resonated. When Democrats vote, Democrats win.
This campaign-- our staff, our volunteers, and our allies, have created a mass movement to turn the 8th District from red to blue. I am proud of you and honored to call all of you my friends.
Thank you and let’s get ready for 2016.
Yours in progress,
